Emerald Envy

Each earring consists of one antique brass watch balance, one stainless steel gear and a 2mm round-cut AA quality genuine emerald. One earring has a second steel gear mounted at the top, and a small brass gear peeking through the opening. The other earring has a genuine antique ruby jeweled watch piece.
They are mounted on sterling silver earring studs with sterling ear nuts, and earring hangs 7/8 inch from the post.
These delicate watch balances come from the back of early 1900s American pocket watches, the era in which pocket watches were beginning to see real extravagance, with detailed engraving and increased jeweled movements.
